My Story & How I Accidentally Became a Yoga Teacher

Welcome! Let me share a bit about my journey. I was born in Turkey in 1985 and raised in Germany from 1990 as a refugee. My path to living my dream in India since 2022 has been long and winding. I arrived in India burned out, hoping to relax my mind before moving to Ireland. Little did I know, the universe had other plans for me 🙂 Initially, I didn’t plan to become a yoga teacher; I simply needed a change. I decided to teach yoga because I didn’t have anything better to do at the time. All the pain I had experienced in my body taught me everything I know now. My Guru wisely said, “If you don’t know how to navigate through pain, how will you ever become a good yoga teacher?” This insight guided me through my journey.

Specialising in Yin Yoga, Hatha Yoga, and Aerial Yoga, I have embraced a diverse range of practices that have deepened my understanding and enriched my teaching. Interestingly, Yin Yoga was initially quite challenging for me. I found it boring and struggled to understand why people practiced it. It wasn’t until I experienced it firsthand that I truly grasped its value. From my very Yang life before, I had to learn to live my Yin side, embracing my feminine aspect. This shift was transformative and marked the beginning of significant changes in my life.

Living in India has been profoundly healing for me, though it wasn’t easy at first. As someone naturally organised, structured, and tidy, adapting to the vibrant and dynamic culture here was a challenge. Transitioning from my comfortable life in Munich to a yoga ashram in India required me to let go of materialism and embrace simplicity. I traded my spacious flat and sporty Hyundai for the basic amenities of the ashram, relied on rickshaws, bikes, and trains for transportation, and adapted to cold showers instead of hot water. Despite my initial frustrations and anxiety, especially with power cuts and the humidity, I learned to embrace my natural curls and persevere, constantly reminding myself not to give up.

My journey was guided by the unwavering support of my family, particularly my sister, who said to me, “Göni, once you follow your dreams, everything that belongs to you will follow.” In Germany, I felt stuck, like I was in a hamster wheel. Originally, I intended to learn yoga for personal healing before starting a new life in Ireland, but the universe had other plans for me, as it often does. Here in India, I found a guru and friend who believed in me, allowing me to manage his school and teach yoga, despite my lack of teaching experience. My background in Hypnotic Therapy, Aura, Chakra, and holistic energy work helped me overcome my fears and thrive in this new role. Now, thanks to the belief others had in me and the unwavering support of my family, I am living my dream. Yoga has not only transformed my life but has also instilled in me a profound belief in miracles and the power of perseverance. I invite you to join me and let yoga change your life as it has changed mine. Yoga is more than just asanas; it is a never-ending journey of growth and freedom. Plan big, dream big, and be courageous.

My Mission & Vision

My Mission:

My mission is to bring transformation to every individual, fostering independence and creating a space within the body that brings freedom in many aspects of life. Inspired by Neale Donald Walsch’s “Conversations with God,” I strive to embody the essence of true mastery: not by accumulating followers or students but by empowering others to become masters themselves. As Walsch eloquently states: “A true Master is not the one with the most students, but one who creates the most Masters. A true leader is not the one with the most followers, but one who creates the most leaders. A true king is not the one with the most subjects, but one who leads the most to royalty. A true teacher is not the one with the most knowledge, but one who causes the most others to have knowledge. And a true God is not One with the most servants, but One who serves the most, thereby making Gods of all others. For this is both the goal and the glory of God: that His subjects shall be no more, and that all shall know God not as the unattainable, but as the unavoidable.” I aim to guide each person toward their highest potential, enabling them to find and embrace their own path to knowledge, leadership, and spiritual fulfilment.

My Vision:

My vision is to achieve this transformation not alone but alongside a community of extraordinary individuals who share this journey with me. Among them are my beloved sister Nihal and my dear
companion Malene, who contribute their unique talents to our retreats. Together, we offer transformative massages that align the universal order, the powerful 2Point With Heart Matrix Method, and Angel Channeling sessions. Additionally, we share our herbal expertise, providing the best herbal teas to enhance your health. Our collective goal is to create a sanctuary where every
